Maani Ventures started its establishment in 1974 as Prefabricated Buildings Company (maani PREFAB) specializing in the production of prefabricated buildings, portable cabins and communication shelters. Maani PREFAB has expanded its operations recently by the establishment of a new factory for pre-engingeered steel buildings. Maani VENTURES now encompasses seven divisions. By the early 1980’s, it diversified its operations into furniture-focused operations based on office concepts dedicated to the production of high quality office furniture. Taking the initiative, Maani Learning and Community was created providing functionality and durability. The wide range of furniture for educational and communal spaces enables the owner to experience and relish in its simplicity and beauty. Maani Labs, on the other hand, offers professional lab solutions tailored to suit ones every need.

In the late 1990’s, the operation lent itself to the making of contemporary art pieces of bentwood exploiting Maani expertise and resources in introducing Maani components. The company also started manufacturing double-glazed glass in partnership with Petra Aluminum through Etihad for Glass Company. In 2007, the group introduced two new lines: Maani Contract Furniture and Metalform. Maani Contract Furniture specializes in furniture supply for interior contracting and fit-out industry for such areas as the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants and cafés), luxurious residential projects and commercial buildings. Maani Steel produces pre-engineered steel buildings for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and the like. Finally, Metalform, a joint-venture with Petra Aluminum, produces UL approved fire-rated steel doors and frames, alongside all types of sheet metal services.
